Here is my unicorn in progress. I have to smooth the tail out and add the horn to his head and make some wrinkles along the tail. I was doing him in homage to Scorpius. Only , now I am thinking KaDargo because of the tail and the hair. Dargo has those long pieces in his hair and Scorpie does not. Also the size and style does not suit Scorp.I was going to paint him black and dust him with an iridescent powder that flashes blues and purples. Now I am thinking reds. Scorp needs to be leaner and sharper , less hair flair right? What do you think?    |

Meet Scorpius . In progress of course. I would have done him on a TB body , but oddly enough I don't have one. So I went with a Stone Arabian.  |

Yep. What other could he be? I did cut that tail off. I know our scorpie had a split in the tail on his leathers. I am not sure how I can work that in. ?? Blue eyes. Black horses are not known to have blue eyes. Some pintos do. Some appies do but one of them goes back to a horse that has a genitic imperfection that kills them.
This Scorpie will have brown eyes with a blue iris. ...
How are you doing without the smokes? Is it any better? How many days now?

On the mane I use a strange looking thing ... I will post a picture later I don't know the name. It looks like a needle on both ends and the point comes to a taper and the taper is curved. I put the mane in in sections and after I make the marks I want in the apoxie I use a soft brush with water on it to smooth it and make it softer looking ... This is my last piece. His name is Heart of Fire.   If you look closely at them you can see the sections. I let them dry and harden in between so the next piece does not mess up the previous one. Or I start at the top and then move to the bottom. As Long as I know they wont interfer with the other when I am finished. |

I have been working on a Ki-Rin or Chinese unicorn. It is said to have scales and split hooves and a lions tail. So here is what I have done so far. I am going to do the tail over and add some more scaly surface around his butt. Or hind quarters.
