AFRICA CHAD AND MADAGASCAR ARE SUSPEDED FROM FIFA and Kicked out of the WORLD CUP FIFA has been informed of the decision taken by the Supreme Court of Madagascar to reject an appeal from the Malagasy Football Association (FMF) to defer a ministerial order dissolving the FMF.
World soccer’s governing body suspended Chad from international competition Friday because of government interference.
FIFA said it was reacting to the Chad sports minister’s decision to dissolve the executive committee of the Chadian soccer federation, a move that FIFA officials claim undermines the guarantee of independence of FIFA’s member associations

WORLD CUP NEWS AFRICA CHAD and Madagascar had been reinstated in the 2010 world cup ASIA IRAQ will be kicked out 2010 FIFA WORLD CUP
The Iraq Football Association, which had overseen the Iraq team’s climb to reigning Asian Cup champion despite the difficulties faced by the war-torn nation, was disbanded by the government Tuesday. “The Iraq Football Association and its executive committee are democratically elected bodies and only its congress has the right to dissolve them,” AFC president Mohamed Bin Hammam said Wednesday in a statement. “AFC will recognize and deal with only the democratically elected committee and office-bearers.” The AFC had lodged an appeal with the Iraq sports minister. “The Iraq Football Association has done excellent work despite the difficult conditions they are operating in,” bin Hammam said. “It is a testimony to their hard work that Iraq (is) the Asian champions and their youth teams have done so well in AFC tournaments and also the Olympics.” The dispute over who is in charge of Iraqi soccer cast doubt upon the future of Iraq’s World Cup qualifying campaign, with FIFA strict about any governmental interference in national associations. Iraq’s next scheduled World Cup qualifier is in Australia on June 1.
Australia have gone thru once before when Lebanon pulled out during asian cup qualifying beacause the israels bombed them

ROAD TO THE 2010 WORLD CUP AFRICA Namibia claimed on Friday they might have to pull out of upcoming World Cup qualifiers unless FIFA inspectors pass fit the only available stadium in the capital Windhoek.
The Independence Stadium was declared unfit to host World Cup games by a FIFA inspection team last year. The reasons were not made public.
The recently built Sam Nujoma Stadium on the outskirts of the city is having an artificial pitch installed and is out of commission for several months.
It leaves Namibia facing the prospect of playing their Group Two home matches against Zimbabwe on May 31 and Guinea on June 14 on neutral territory.
But Namibia Football Association general secretary Barry Rukaro told Reuters they might not be able to afford the costs of playing at a neutral venue.
"Apart from losing home ground advantage, we are not sure if we can afford to play in a neighbouring country, which is an expensive logistical exercise," he said.
"We are working with FIFA and the Namibia government to solve the problem but we are not hopeful," he added.
Namibia are one of several African countries under similar threat unless last minute improvements of safety and security are made. FIFA will make a final check on May 7, Rukaro confirmed.
Kenya's place in qualifying for the World and Nations Cups in 2010 is under threat because of a recent court ruling, according to football's world governing body Fifa.
The court decided that a group of administrators not recognised by Fifa should be considered executives of the Kenya Football Federation (KFF).
Fifa says the individuals concerned were appointed by a previous sports minister, against its rules.
Fifa does not allow government interference in the running of the sport.
Fifa says it wants immediate action to reverse the situation.
It also says the headquarters of the KFF, which Fifa paid for, has been "taken over by non-recognised individuals".
Fifa Secretary General Jerome Valcke imposed a deadline of 72 hours from Monday for its approved administrators to be registered.
If that is not achieved then Kenya's place in World Cup qualifying would be seriously under threat.
"In the absence of a swift reaction...to stop this blatant interference in football internal affairs, Fifa will have to consider all options", Valcke wrote in a letter to the man it still considers to be the leader of the KFF, Mohammed Hatimy.
"These latest events jeopardize the organisation of the forthcoming Fifa 2010 World Cup and CAF ACN 2010 qualifying matches."
Kenya are due to play Guinea, Namibia and Zimbabwe in their group, starting against Namibia at the beginning of next month.
This is not the first time that Kenya has fallen foul of Fifa having been banned from football in 2006 and 2004
Guess Guinea and Zimbabwe will have to battle it out for group 2 honours

OTHER NEWS The FIFA 2010 World Cup qualifier between Gabon and Lesotho scheduled for Saturday was postponed because of an air traffic controllers strike.
Although the industrial action ended Thursday, it prevented Lesotho leaving South Africa for the Gabonese capital to fulfill the Group 5 fixture which doubles as a qualifier for the 2010 CAF Africa Cup of Nations in Angola.
